Writing this now reminds me of the time when I was sick and had to be given drip. So I made up my mind to watch the drip till it finishes and told myself to not fall asleep. After a few minute my eyes felt heavy but I made sure to keep it open the more and just then the nurse walked in and said "you not sleeping yet, I expected you would have fallen asleep by now because I had injected sleeping pills into your drip". All I did was smile back at her.
Unknowingly I had made up my mind to stay awake and trust me when I say it was a long watch. It felt like the drip wasn't dripping (lol.... I don't know if there is any English like that) but watch I must. I kept a blank mind and watched it drip. Finally it ended and I smiled that I won over the sleeping injection. My WILL to stay awake had help me win (smiles).
I woke up on Monday morning to the news of a 35years old medical Doctor Who had jumped off the third mainland bridge on Sunday afternoon and drowned. He had a driver and he had a jeep. The news was everywhere. Everybody talking about it. And by Monday evening I was listening to a show on radio and the anchor spoke on the issue again and said he thinks this is the time that people must embrace God. People committing suicide everywhere and the rate was becoming alarming. I just felt well it's old gist if anyone hasn't met God yet. It way past time anyone met him but its never too late (winks).
My first thoughts were one unfulfilled life gone, how much of a challenge was he going through (I mean anyone would have thought he had a comfortable life seeing that he drove a jeep and he had a driver), if he had friends, why he thought he wasn't strong enough to scale through that challenge, his family, if he was an introvert, his siblings, how bad his depression was, if he had no one to talk to, if there was nobody around who could have stopped him from jumping, his years in school studying medicine, his parents, where he worked, his future, his purpose in life and why he thought it had ended for him, how far he had come already in life, why he thought suicide was the best option, why he choose to die the hardest way anyone could ever die (suicide), so many thoughts crossed my mind.
I had said in one of my post "Euthanasia" that I never support mercy killing and I just think that mercy killing and suicide is one and the same. First thing first is life that cannot be created should not be taken so why suicide.
I just believe we could never have more than we can handle. We could get tired....yes, we could get frustrated.....yes, we could feel depressed.....yes, feel like the world has ended.....yes, get very confused too....... yes, get alot of annoying and irritating feeling.... yes but to win you mustn't give up, to scale through you must stand strong, to have the last laugh you mustn't give up, to live again you must stand strong and to love again you mustn't give up.
Fortunately I just discovered that we could celebrate happiness (lol) . Monday 20th of March was international World happiness day and I thought about all the things we think could really make us happy. I kept thinking, trying to find what makes us happy and I found there was nothing. Nothing really makes us happy. If you want to be happy, then just be happy. Really nothing makes us happy other than to just happy. There are few choices we make in life; we don't get to make the choice of the kind of challenges we face or if we should or if we want to face a challenges but we could make the choice to be happy. Consciously make that choice everyday so don't give in to that depression.
Just like I had the will to win over the sleeping pills, we could win over our challenges and just the way I had kept a blank mind watch the drip for long till it finished, we could just clear out out minds and watch everything play out. It always definitely has an end. Nobody ever said life was going to be easy but we get stronger.

WHAT IS LOVE?.
Some nights back while I was on my bed and gradually drifting off to sleep, my phone beeped and it was a message but my sleepy self was going to ignore the message but my heart tugged at me to check the message. Knowing fully well that if I didn't check the message I won't sleep so I gave in and reluctantly checked what it was.
It was a message from a good friend of mine and quite a lengthy message saying love is this and love is that and asked me if really that is what love is. So I replied him saying "love conquers all and all of the attributes you mentioned are true.....that I know." so I resumed to drift off again when my phone beeped again. Same friend asking another question "WHAT IS LOVE" in capital letter. The answer was a simple one but I knew answering him would mean more questions and I really needed to get my beauty sleep (lol) so I called him to say "I will answer your question but as a blog post. You can read up to see my answer but I really want to sleep". So that is how I find myself moving my topic of this week to next week (smiles........).
Still in my sleepy state before finally allowing myself to sleep, I answered the question in my heart "love is love" simple.
Writing now I am asking myself howelse do I describe the word that brought about creation, same word that brought about the very existence of man. Where else can I find the answer to the question if not in the question itself. No greater word to define love if not defining it in itself. Every word used to describe love will always come back to take it true meaning from the word itself (love). Patience, trust, affection, care, selflessness, long-suffering e.t.c all take their root from love. That is why I said love is love.
Love is an action and a doing word. A conscious effort to act and to do, a conscious effort to see it all around you, a conscious effort to give it to others, a conscious effort to show it to others, a conscious effort to see it in others, a conscious effort to continue to make that conscious effort.
A conscious effort to find it everywhere. In simple gestures like a handshake, a hug, in receiving a smile and giving a smile, in laughter. Something as simple as saying hello. When we make such efforts to find love in simple things then it becomes a part of us, it's much easier to give it to others and much easier to find it all around you.
Agree or disagree comments are welcomed. Kisses and hugs.

MY TWO CENT TO SINGLE LADIES
Marriage changes a lot of things for people, most especially the ladies. While some people may think that I have no right to say this because I have not experienced married life, but you all will agree with me on this.
This is the order in which as ladies you should plan your life. Education, career, love and marriage. I should say this that there are some exceptional cases but they are rare.
For the ladies who want an education, it’s better to get it before marriage but if you don’t, you may never find the time after marriage to go back to that path.
For the ladies who have an education and want a career, make sure you are on your career path before marriage because after marriage and the children start coming in, you may never find the time to go back and build a career.
For the ladies who want to find love, get an education and get a career. This will help you define the Kind of man you want to end up with and believe me every guy wants a posh girl but no guy wants to end up with a lady that will become a liability to them.
Finally, it’s the dream of every lady to be married. Make sure you get all three: Education, career and love before settling down.
It’s very important you define a path for yourself and be on that path so you find purpose and fulfillment in life if not you end up living the path of your spouse which may never be fulfilling.
Agree or disagree, opinions are welcomed (kisses and hug).

EUTHANASIA (MERCY KILLING).
The topic is weird right…..smiles. I just keep stumbling on this subject matter this past week and i decided to blog it. I saw an interesting Indian movie that made an impression on me by one of my favourite Indian actor and the whole plot was centered on this topic euthanasia . Few days later i decided to read a novel by sidney sheldon titled “nothing lasts forever” and the story was also on this topic. What a coincidence right…..the reason i decided to write.
Before science people die from the slightest of disease but now thousands of lives have been saved. It has helped relieved the pain of many to the extent that some people see their doctor as their God. so should i say it has been a blessing or is it otherwise. I am talking about the people science has not been able to help. These are the people placed on life support system. They are people in comatose state or rather vegetative state which is as good as dead.
I will refer first to the book i read. One of characters had cancer that even chemotherapy could not help him. He just had to wait patiently till the cancer eats out his life but the bad thing here is that the more the date of his death draws near, the more his pain. He can only be given drugs to reduce his pain. He could bear the pain no longer, he asked his doctor to help end his life. The doctor understanding how much pain he must be going through decided to help him by letting him die a less painful death. He was given an overdose of insulin which allowed him die peacefully. He died with a smile on his face. At this point i will let you know that euthanasia is not allowed in any state of the world. At least so far as i have researched this is what i found out.
In the movie the main character was paralysed both hands and legs. He also had kidney problem which led to other health issues. For fourteen years of his life he struggled and had hope. He made the most of his life even in that state by anchoring a programme which touched thousands of lives. He made many smile with that programme and gave people hope. He was an inspiration to many but he was helpless. He lost hope with each passing day and decided euthanasia was the only option for him. He could no longer wait for death because it seemed far and his health kept deteriorating. He was so helpless to the extent that he needed someone to help end his life. He moved the motion in court with the help of his lawyer who was also a friend but the state refuse him his offer saying it was against the law. He decided to use his radio show to plead public sympathy but he didn’t get positive answer because people didn’t want him to give up on life.
My questions on the movie is was the state wicked by not realizing how bad his health was and help relieve him of his misery? were people selfish by not helping him end his pain because he was giving them hope and making them smile?.My question from the book is, should the doctor have helped him end his pain because she understood how much pain he was in?.
I believe life that cannot be created should not be taken. I am against euthanasia or rather mercy killing. I believe life is precious and every moment spent in it should be cherished. Life is a gift and i believe everyone who has onced received a gift cherished it. For the character in the book, the love he would have gotten the few days he had left to spend would have been greater than the pain he felt if he had family to show it to him. when you smile you don’t remember your pain. He should have made memories that will make him live on in the hearts of his loved ones for a long time rather than thinking of death. That would have helped his pain more than any drug.
For the movie, the smile he puts on people face daily, the lives he has helped put back on track and the love he was shown daily. If he looks back on these, it was enough hope for him to want to give it another try in life. I understand he lived like that for more than ten years but he had people there for him. He was a mentor to many and admired by many. He will live long in the hearts of many. Some times you look beyond your pain and when you see you are the reason some is smiling or giving life another chance i think that is enough to make you happy. I really don’t know but it is easy to please me and that would have made me want to fight and stay alive . Having a strong will to live.
Comments are welcomed and i want someone to try and convince me otherwise. Though i doubt anyone will be able to make me change my mind but the try is very much welcomed. I end like this LIFE IS PRECIOUS AND SHOULD BE CHERISHED.

HER LOVE IS FIERCE.
Like my friend will always say “her love is fierce” lol……..this is not the topic i had in mind to post but thinking about how to write this post made me smile and i felt it will make others smile too.
sigh……..how do i start this lol. “LOVE” when i see people do stupid things which to them is the best you can do because you are in love, i begin to wonder. i have not been able to comprehend fully how to describe love.
I have had crush(es) lol , i have really, really, really really (the really can go on) liked someone but never have i fallen in love. Thinking about it now i did do some things that right now i consider foolish for my crush and the people i like so i can imagine how fierce my love would be lol……
some people believe watching from afar and ensuring the one you love is happy and in love with another person is the best way you can express your love to the other most especially in cases where the love is not reciprocated. This set of people i call the noble idiots because they still diligently and steadfastly stay in love with the other person. They are there like the heroes, always there for the damsel in distress or the dark knight in trouble.
some people believe keeping vital information all in the name of saving the one they love from pain which always and always brings short lived happiness is the best way they can express their love. some express their love to the other by inflicting pain. some believe they should be doted on. some believe satisfying their need is the way to show love. some believe love don’t exist. The list is endless.Different people with their own ways of expressing their love.
But the beautiful thing is that love is good, kind, selfless, caring, generous, beautiful i can go on. i believe love is everything good and will really like to know what it feels like to be in love. I envy people who have once experienced it lol….
I am running out of words already but i want to end this post in a refreshing way. if her love is fierce his love can be fierce too making it two fierce love(lolzz) or should it be time for change, time to restart, time to conquer and time to be fierce.
choose whichever one feels refreshing to you. i hope i made u smile and made u want to be in love too.
A THIN LINE BETWEEN LOVE AND HATE (MY DOG AND I).
I never knew one could get so attached to something. I have always been the type that hates dogs and didn’t want them close bye. This was partly because I was scared of them.
The opposite of this was my mum. she loves dogs and likes to have them around. she has always wanted to bring one home but she didn’t partly because of me. she waited till I was old enough.
Precisely on the second of January this year, she brought home a white male puppy. I didn’t go close to it and refused to pass by it. she went out the next day and asked me to take care of it and feed it milk; this was when my life with it started.
I still kept away from it. It kept crying because it was hungry. I couldn’t stand it and my heart went to it. I decided to get over my fear since my heart was breaking over it tears. I started to want to take care of,then i adjusted to having it around.
It will keep me company when I’m bored .It will walk me to a safe distance before going back home when i’m going out. when I come back also it will welcome me by running all over me and wagging it tail. It also did crazy stuffs like taking slippers left at doorstep, tearing doormat, pulling clothes down from clothesline and many other things that i hated but then I loved it more.
Even when I was away in school for a short while, whenever i call home I’ll ask after it. when i came back home for the holidays I thought it won’t recognize me but it did. for that i loved it even more.
All these was short lived because it died a few months later. I got really sad and it was difficult to get over it. It was like i lost my best friend. After a while, i realized it was actually my best friend and i did lost my best friend. I cried a lot.
Everywhere around the house got really quite and words like “SEAT”, “STOP IT”, “TIME TO EAT”, “TIME TO BATHE” were no longer heard screamed by me. I would go out and expect to see it or for it to walk me out but then i would remember it is dead. writing about it now has brought bitter sweet memories and thinking about how i got attached to it, I have come to believe that there is really a thin line between love and hate. The person you love this minute, you could hate the next, and the person you hate now, you could love the next minute.
